Jericoacoara
The village with no asphalt, and the sunset dune
About the spot
Jeri is reached via Jijoca, and you get to the village along a sand track. There's no asphalt or street lighting — what you lose in infrastructure you gain in scenery: the sunset dune, Pedra Furada and Lagoa do Paraíso are all right there.
The wind is strong and steady, and the combination of open sea with freshwater lagoons makes this one of the most complete destinations in the country for riding, with or without waves.
