Why book with Kite Caribe

One agency, many schools — the right wind on every beach

Instead of running a single spot, we work with the certified schools in each region. If the wind shifts, you change spots on the same booking.

Certified schools

All lessons are taught by schools with certified instructors (IKO) and checked safety gear.

Reading the real wind

Every destination has its own pattern: strong trade winds from August to December, thermal wind in the Caribbean. We match the date to your level.

Logistics sorted

Transfers between destinations, gear storage and beach support are handled by the region's partner school.

Service in 6 languages

You can speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German or Italian — from the first message to the rescue at sea.

Certified schools in every region

Kite Caribe is the agency; the lesson is delivered by the local school, chosen for its certification, the condition of its gear and the instructor's language.

IKO instructors

Lessons taught by instructors with international certification and experience on that region's water.

Gear refreshed each season

Kites and boards checked and rotated as they age; you never ride beaten-up equipment.

People who know the spot

The local school knows where the wind fills in, where the tide is and where to finish the day's downwind.

A single point of contact

You talk to Kite Caribe; we arrange the school, the transfer and the support at each destination.

The names and contacts of our partner schools are confirmed at the time of booking, according to the destination and the season.

Questions almost everyone asks

If yours isn't here, write to the base — we reply the same day.

See all the questions
Do I need to know how to swim to kitesurf?
Yes. You'll be in the water and, at some point, you may need to swim back to the board or the beach. You don't need to swim like an athlete, but comfort in the water is essential — and a vest is always available.
What's the minimum age for lessons?
We teach from around 10 years old, with a guardian's authorisation and always accompanied. Children start with smaller kites and on flat water, at their own pace.
How long until I can ride on my own?
It depends on the wind, the water and how often you ride. With consecutive lessons in good conditions, many people reach the water start within a few days and independent riding in one or two weeks. Nobody promises a fixed deadline — anyone who guarantees that is selling, not teaching.
What's the best time of year?
For strong wind, August to December in the Northeast. To learn in gentler conditions, January to July. In the Caribbean the season is the opposite: December to April.
Do I need my own gear?
No. Our partner schools provide kite, board, harness and vest during lessons, and you can rent once you've been cleared. Buying only makes sense once you know the kite size that suits your wind and your weight.

Tell me where you are and how much time you have — I'll sort out the rest

Give us the destination and the dates. We'll reply with the right school, the wind forecast for that period and what to bring.
